이번 어워드는 Bentley 소프트웨어를 활용해 인프라 설계, 구축, 운영 전 과정에서 디지털 혁신을 실현한 프로젝트를 기념하는 프로그램이다. 접수 대상은 Bentley 소프트웨어를 사용하는 모든 규모 및 단계의 프로젝트로, 효율성, 비용 대비 성과, 복원력, 지속 가능성 등 디지털 전환을 통한 정량적 성과를 주요 평가 기준으로 삼는다.

어워드 주요 부문은 교량, 터널, 도시 및 시설, 건설, 에너지 생산, 지리 공간 및 현실 모델링, 프로젝트 납품, 철도 및 수송, 도로 및 고속도로, 구조 엔지니어링, 지반 모델링, 송전 및 배전, 상하수 등 인프라 전 분야를 포괄한다.

지난 20년간 전 세계 5,500개 이상의 주요 인프라 프로젝트가 이 어워드에 참여했으며, 바티칸 성 베드로 대성당 디지털 트윈, 프랑스 세느 노르드 운하, 영국 템스 조로 터널, 중국 베이징-장자커우 고속철도 등 혁신적 사례들이 대표적이다.

2026년 결선 진출자는 8월 중 발표되며, 10월 6일부터 7일까지 싱가포르에서 개최되는 Year in Infrastructure 행사에서 프로젝트 발표 및 시상식이 진행될 예정이다. 결선 진출 프로젝트는 어워드 플랫폼을 통해 상세 스토리와 디지털 플레이북을 업계와 공유한다.

Bentley Systems, Incorporated (NASDAQ: BSY), a leading infrastructure engineering software company, announced the official opening of submissions for the 2026 Year in Infrastructure (YII) event and awards program starting March 18, 2026. The submission deadline is May 3, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

The YII Awards celebrate digital innovation across the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects—design, construction, and operation—using Bentley’s software. Submissions are accepted from projects of all sizes and stages that utilize Bentley’s software, evaluated primarily on criteria such as efficiency, cost-effectiveness, resilience, sustainability, and measurable digital transformation outcomes.

The awards cover a comprehensive range of infrastructure sectors including bridges and tunnels; cities and facilities; construction; energy production; geospatial and reality modeling; project delivery; rail and transit; roads and highways; structural engineering; geotechnical modeling and analysis; power transmission and distribution; and water and wastewater.

Over the past 20 years, more than 5,500 distinguished infrastructure projects worldwide have participated in this awards program. Notable winning projects include the digital twin monitoring of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, the Seine-Nord Europe Canal in France, the Thames Tideway Tunnel in the UK, and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway in China, among others. These projects demonstrate the measurable economic, environmental, and social impacts of digital innovation.

Finalists for 2026 will be announced in August, with the award ceremony and project presentations scheduled for October 6–7 in Singapore during the Year in Infrastructure event. Finalists’ detailed project stories and digital playbooks will be shared within the industry as part of the program.
