‘제12회 호찌민시 아오자이 페스티벌 2026’이 ‘황금 실, 꿈을 엮다’를 주제로 2026년 3월 1일부터 31일까지 호찌민시 전역에서 개최됐다. 주요 행사는 3월 6일부터 8일까지 응우옌후에 보행자 거리에서 진행되었으며, 문화 공간과 관광 명소에서도 다양한 프로그램이 펼쳐졌다.
이번 축제는 17개의 주요 행사와 다채로운 부대 프로그램으로 구성됐으며, 개막식, 아오자이 아트 프로그램, 세계 여성의 날 기념 아오자이 민속무용 퍼레이드, 아오자이 콘테스트 결선 등이 포함됐다. 또한 어린이 아오자이 디자인 콘테스트, 온라인 사진 콘테스트, 외국인 유학생 좌담회, 홍보대사와 함께하는 문화 및 포토 투어도 진행됐다.
‘사랑의 아오자이’ 프로그램을 통해 어려운 여성과 여성 근로자에게 아오자이가 지원되었으며, 방문객들을 위한 무료 입장 및 할인 혜택도 제공했다.
이번 페스티벌은 베트남 아오자이의 문화적 가치를 재확인하고 국가 정체성을 알리는 한편, 호찌민시를 국제적으로 매력적인 관광지로 소개하는 데 기여했다. 호찌민시는 2027년 3월 첫째 주에도 아오자이 페스티벌을 개최할 예정이다.
The 12th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2026 was held throughout Ho Chi Minh City from March 1 to March 31, 2026, under the theme “Golden Threads, Weaving Dreams.” The main events took place from March 6 to March 8 on Nguyen Hue Walking Street, while various programs were also organized at cultural spaces and tourist attractions across the city.
The festival consisted of 17 major events along with a variety of side programs. Key highlights included the opening ceremony, an Ao Dai art program, an Ao Dai folk dance parade celebrating International Women’s Day, and the final round of the Ao Dai contest. Additional activities included a children’s Ao Dai design contest, an online photo contest, a discussion forum for international students, and cultural and photo tours with festival ambassadors.
Through the “Ao Dai of Love” program, Ao Dai garments were donated to disadvantaged women and female workers. The festival also offered free admission and discount benefits for visitors.
This festival reaffirmed the cultural value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai and promoted national identity, while also contributing to showcasing Ho Chi Minh City as an attractive international tourist destination. Ho Chi Minh City plans to hold the Ao Dai Festival again in the first week of March 2027.
