미국 기술 기업 쿠팡, 2026년 렉시스넥시스 상위 100대 글로벌 혁신기업으로 선정! U.S. tech company Coupang named to LexisNexis' 2026 Top 100 Global Innovators

 미국 기반 디지털 서비스 기술 선도 기업 쿠팡(Coupang)이 2년 연속 렉시스넥시스(LexisNexis)의 2026년 상위 100대 글로벌 혁신기업 명단에 선정되었다. 렉시스넥시스의 이번 명단은 4일(현지 시간) 발표된 회사의 보고서 ‘이노베이션 모멘텀 2026(Innovation Momentum 2026): 더 글로벌 톱 100(The Global Top 100)’에 포함되었다.

이는 지난 2년간 쿠팡의 특허 포트폴리오가 크게 개선된 결과로, 누적 특허 건수는 2015년 91건에서 2025년 3,919건으로 연평균 45%의 성장률을 기록했다. 특히 한국, 대만, 미국 등 주요 시장에서 다수의 특허를 확보했으며, 2025년에는 736명의 직원 발명가가 참여해 사상 최대를 달성했다.

쿠팡의 혁신은 머신러닝 기반 상품 유통 관리, 쿠팡 플레이의 스마트 게이트웨이 시스템, 쿠팡 이츠의 실시간 주문 준비 시간 조정 등 다양한 사업 분야에 적용되고 있다. 인공지능과 로봇공학을 활용해 종단간 물류 인프라에도 수십억 달러를 투자, 미국 및 전 세계 190개국 고객에게 빠른 배송과 고품질 서비스를 제공 중이다.

U.S.-based digital service leader Coupang has been selected for the second consecutive year as one of LexisNexis’ 2026 Global Top 100 Innovative Companies. This recognition was announced on the 4th (local time) within the report titled “Innovation Momentum 2026: The Global Top 100.”

This achievement reflects significant improvements in Coupang’s patent portfolio over the past two years, with cumulative patents rising from 91 in 2015 to 3,919 in 2025, marking a 45% average annual growth rate. The company has secured numerous patents in key markets such as South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. Notably, in 2025, a record 736 employee inventors contributed to this growth.

Coupang’s innovation spans various business areas, applying machine learning for intelligent product distribution management, developing a smart gateway system for Coupang Play’s video streaming service, and implementing real-time order preparation time adjustment for Coupang Eats.
