 서울 강남구 코엑스 B홀에서 4월 2일부터 5일까지 열리는 ‘2026서울국제불교박람회’는 대승불교 핵심 사상인 ‘공(空)’을 현대적으로 재해석한 참여형 프로그램으로 관람객에게 불교 철학을 체험할 기회를 제공한다. 관람객은 ‘공 뽑기’를 통해 무작위 코인을 뽑고, 스님과 문답하는 ‘공 질문지’, 행운 메시지 카드 ‘행운지’, 사인볼로 교환하는 ‘행운의 공 당첨지’ 등 다양한 미션과 체험에 참여할 수 있다.

특히, ‘공 수거’ 프로그램은 관람객이 뽑은 공을 봉은사 인근 조형물에 봉안하여 개인의 염원이 모여 하나의 상징적 공공예술 작품으로 완성되는 참여형 예술 프로젝트다. ‘행운의 전당’에서는 스님뿐만 아니라 연예인, 스포츠인, 인플루언서 등이 직접 작성한 행운 메시지를 전달해 긍정적 영향력을 확산한다.

박람회는 ‘색즉시공 공즉시색’ 등 반야심경 구절을 시각화한 포스터와 그래픽 디자인으로 ‘공’의 개념을 공간 전체에 녹여내며, 참가자가 자연스럽게 불교 사상을 경험하도록 구성했다. 대한불교조계종은 이번 행사가 초심자도 불편함 없이 철학을 체험할 수 있도록 설계됐다고 밝혔다.
