오는 2026년 3월 19일(목)부터 22일(일)까지 서울 코엑스에서 제16회 글로벌 헬스케어·의료관광 컨퍼런스인 ‘메디컬 코리아 2026’이 개최됩니다. 보건복지부 주최, 한국보건산업진흥원 주관으로 진행되는 이번 행사는 ‘AI 기반 글로벌 헬스케어: 미래와 세계를 가깝게’라는 주제로, 전 세계 의료 리더, 정책 결정자, 전문가들이 모여 AI가 주도하는 의료 혁신과 국제 의료 협력의 미래를 논의합니다.
행사는 보건복지부 보건산업정책국장 정은영, 마르크스 어드바이저리의 CEO 에드워드 마르크스의 기조연설로 시작하며, 마르크스는 ‘헬스케어 세계는 평평하다: 신기술이 글로벌 의료에 미치는 영향’을 주제로 AI 등 첨단 기술이 글로벌 의료체계의 구조와 접근성에 미치는 변화를 조명합니다.
8개 세션에서는 국내외 40여 명의 연사가 AI 기반 의료 혁신, 의료관광 전략, 디지털 헬스 동향, AI 의료기술 개발에 대해 발표하며, 비즈니스 미팅과 정부 간(G2G) 미팅을 통해 해외 환자 유치 및 정부 협력 네트워크를 지원합니다.
전시회는 글로벌 의료 협력, 한국 의료 서비스 경쟁력, 메디컬 코리아 플랫폼 3개 전시관으로 구성되어 국제 의료 역량과 파트너십 기회를 종합적으로 소개합니다. 3월 19일 개최되는 갈라 디너에서는 글로벌 의료 광고 대상 시상식과 의료 자선 프로그램 축하 행사가 열려 주요 인사 간 네트워킹의 장이 마련됩니다.
‘메디컬 코리아’는 2010년 출범 이래 글로벌 의료 혁신과 의료관광 분야의 중요한 플랫폼으로 자리매김했으며, 이번 행사는 AI가 의료 서비스 전달과 국경 간 협력에 미치는 혁신적 영향을 집중 조명합니다.
Medical Korea 2026, the 16th Global Healthcare & Medical Tourism Conference, will be held from March 19 to 22, 2026, at COEX in Seoul. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and organized by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI), gathering global leaders, policymakers, and experts to explore advancements in AI-powered healthcare and international medical collaboration under the theme “AI-Powered Global Healthcare: Bringing the Future and the World Closer.”
The conference program includes an Opening Ceremony with keynote speeches from Eun-Young Jung, Director General for Healthcare Industry Policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Edward Marx, CEO of Marx Advisory. Marx’s keynote titled “The Healthcare World is Flat: How New Technologies Impact Global Health” will focus on emerging technologies including AI reshaping global healthcare systems’ structure and accessibility.
More than 40 domestic and international speakers will participate in eight conference sessions covering AI-driven healthcare innovation, medical tourism strategies, digital health trends, and AI-based medical technologies development. Structured Business Meetings and G2G Meetings will support networking for overseas patient attraction and government-level cooperation.
An Exhibition with three pavilions will showcase global healthcare collaboration, Korea’s medical service competitiveness, and the Medical Korea platform, providing a comprehensive view of international medical capabilities. The Medical Korea Gala Dinner on March 19 will serve as a networking event and include the 1st Global Medical Advertising Awards Ceremony alongside a celebration for the Medical Charity Program.
Medical Korea 2026 continues its established role since 2010 as a significant global platform for healthcare innovation and medical tourism dialogues, emphasizing AI’s transformative impact on healthcare delivery and cross-border medical services.
