삼성전자는 2030년까지 국내외 생산 공장을 ‘AI 자율 공장(AI Driven Factory)’으로 전환한다! Samsung Electronics plans to transform its domestic and overseas production plants into "AI-driven factories" by 2030.

 삼성전자는 2030년까지 국내외 생산 공장을 AI가 전 공정을 자율적으로 운영하는 ‘AI 자율 공장’으로 전환할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 자재 입고부터 생산, 출하까지 디지털 트윈 기반 시뮬레이션과 품질·생산·물류 AI 에이전트를 도입해 데이터 분석과 사전 검증을 강화해 글로벌 생산 전반의 품질과 생산성을 혁신한다.

또한 환경안전 분야에도 AI를 적용해 고온·고소음 등 위험 환경에서 작업 안전을 강화하는 디지털 트윈 기반 환경안전봇을 도입해 사고 예방과 리스크 관리를 체계화한다.

삼성전자는 모바일 사업에서 축적한 ‘에이전틱 AI’를 제조 혁신에 적용해 AI가 스스로 계획과 실행을 수행하는 자율 제조 현장을 구축한다. 이와 함께 AI와 결합된 휴머노이드형 제조 로봇을 단계적으로 도입해 오퍼레이팅봇, 물류봇, 조립봇 등 생산 라인과 설비를 최적화한다.

삼성전자는 MWC26에서 AI 자율 공장 전략과 디지털 트윈 기반 제조 혁신 비전을 공개할 예정이며, ‘AI 자율성 확대에 따른 거버넌스 강화 전략’도 발표할 계획이다. AI 기술 확산에 대비해 신뢰할 수 있는 안전장치 설계를 통해 산업용 AI의 자율화와 신뢰 구축을 동시에 추진한다.

These factories will apply AI across all manufacturing processes, from material receipt to production and shipment, integrating digital twin-based simulations along with quality, production, and logistics AI agents to enhance data analysis and pre-verification, thereby innovating quality and productivity across global production sites.

Additionally, AI will be expanded to the environmental safety sector by introducing digital twin-based safety bots to bolster work safety in hazardous environments such as high temperature and high noise areas, preventing accidents and systematizing risk management.

Building on AI expertise accumulated in its mobile business, Samsung will deploy ‘Agentic AI’ in manufacturing innovation, enabling AI to autonomously plan and execute operations. Humanoid manufacturing robots integrated with AI will be progressively introduced to optimize operating bots, logistics bots, and assembly bots across production lines and equipment.

At MWC 2026, Samsung will unveil its AI autonomous factory strategies and digital twin-based manufacturing innovation vision. It will also announce governance enhancement strategies aligned with expanding AI autonomy. Samsung aims to embed reliable safety mechanisms from the design stage to ensure trustworthy industrial AI autonomy and governance as AI technologies expand.
