 돌비 래버러토리스(Dolby Laboratories)는 3월, 국내 극장가를 찾아오는 주요 개봉작으로 ‘호퍼스’, ‘브라이드!’, ‘F1® 더 무비’, ‘극장판 진격의 거인 완결편 더 라스트 어택’, ‘프로젝트 헤일메리’를 발표했다. 이번 작품들은 돌비의 프리미엄 HDR 영상 기술 ‘돌비 비전(Dolby Vision®)’과 차세대 사운드 기술 ‘돌비 애트모스(Dolby Atmos®)’가 적용된 돌비 시네마에서 상영돼 생동감 넘치는 영상미와 몰입도 높은 음향을 선사한다.

3월 4일 개봉하는 ‘호퍼스’는 디즈니·픽사의 30번째 장편 애니메이션으로, 의식을 동물 로봇에 옮기는 ‘호핑’ 기술로 로봇 비버가 된 소녀의 모험을 그린다. 같은 날, 크리스찬 베일과 제시 버클리 주연의 ‘브라이드!’가 개봉하며, 1930년대 미국을 배경으로 죽음에서 깨어난 한 여성과 프랑켄슈타인의 이야기를 그린다.

11일 재개봉하는 ‘F1® 더 무비’는 현실적 레이싱 블록버스터로, 지난해 아카데미 4개 부문 후보에 오른 작품이다. 돌비 기술로 트랙의 시각적 스릴과 사운드를 극대화해 관객을 질주의 현장으로 데려간다. 13일에는 누적 발행 부수 1억 4천만 부에 달하는 만화 원작 ‘극장판 진격의 거인 완결편 더 라스트 어택’이 재개봉한다.

3월 18일 개봉하는 ‘프로젝트 헤일메리’는 앤디 위어 신작 소설 원작 SF 영화로, 기억을 잃은 우주비행사가 인류 구원을 위한 마지막 미션에 도전하는 이야기를 담았다.

Dolby Laboratories announced the major film releases coming to theaters in March in Korea. These films will be showcased in Dolby Cinema, featuring premium HDR video technology Dolby Vision® and next-generation immersive sound technology Dolby Atmos®, delivering vivid visuals and immersive audio experiences.

“Elemental” (호퍼스), Pixar’s 30th feature film, opens on March 4. The story follows a girl who becomes a robotic beaver through “hopping” technology that transfers human consciousness to animal robots. On the same day, “Bride!” premieres, depicting a story set in 1930s America about a woman resurrected from death and her relationship with Frankenstein.

On March 11, the racing blockbuster “F1® The Movie” returns to theaters. Recognized with four Academy Award nominations, the film maximizes the thrill of the racetrack through Dolby’s superb visual and sound technologies. On March 13, the animated film “Attack on Titan Final Part: The Last Attack,” based on the manga with over 140 million copies sold worldwide, will be re-released.

“Project Hail Mary,” a sci-fi film based on Andy Weir’s new novel, opens on March 18. It tells the story of an astronaut who awakens in space with no memory and undertakes a mission to save humanity.
