오디에스, 다이렉트 3D 프린팅 투명교정 장치 ‘얼라인미라클(AlignMiracle)’의 미국 현지 임상 돌입! ODS Begins US Clinical Trials for Direct 3D Printing Clear Aligner Device ‘AlignMiracle’!

 디지털 덴티스트리 전문기업 오디에스(대표 박성원)는 미국 권위 치과 연구기관인 ADA Forsyth Institute(AFI)와의 파트너십을 통해 자사의 다이렉트 3D 프린팅 투명교정 장치인 ‘얼라인미라클(AlignMiracle)’의 미국 현지 임상시험에 본격 돌입한다고 밝혔다.

이번 임상은 AFI의 IRB 심사를 통과했으며, 팅시 우 박사가 책임 연구자로 참여한다. 약 30개월 동안 25명의 부정교합 환자를 대상으로 다이렉트 3D 프린팅 방식(DPA)으로 제작한 얼라인미라클을 사용해 치료 효과와 치아 이동의 정확도를 평가할 예정이다. DPA 방식은 기존 열성형(TFA) 방식 대비 Aligner Shell이 치아에 빈틈없이 밀착하여 계획한 대로 안전하고 정확한 치아 이동이 가능하다.

오디에스의 얼라인미라클에 사용되는 Clear Miracle 레진은 2025년 9월 FDA 510K 승인을 획득했으며, 국내 중앙대학교 광명병원에서 생체독성 없이 우수한 임상 성과를 보이고 있다. 또한, 글로벌 선도 기업과 협업해 개발한 DPA 전용 레진을 통해 빠른 치아 이동과 생체 안전성을 동시에 실현한다.

ODS, a digital dentistry specialist company led by CEO Sungwon Park, announced the commencement of local clinical trials in the United States for its direct 3D printed clear aligner, "AlignMiracle," through a partnership with the highly reputed American dental research institution, the ADA Forsyth Institute (AFI).

The clinical trial, approved by AFI’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), is led by principal investigator Dr. Tingxi Wu. Over approximately 30 months, the study will involve 25 patients with Class I, II, or III malocclusion and will rigorously evaluate the treatment efficacy and precision of tooth movement using the AlignMiracle produced by the Direct 3D Printed Aligner (DPA) method. Unlike the conventional thermoformed aligners (TFA), the DPA method enables an Aligner Shell design that fits tightly and uniformly on all tooth surfaces, ensuring safe and accurate tooth movement as planned.

The Clear Miracle resin used in AlignMiracle received FDA 510(k) clearance in September 2025 and has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes without biotoxicity at Korea’s Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital. Additionally, through collaboration with leading global companies, ODS independently developed DPA-specific resin that achieves simultaneous fast tooth movement, precise force delivery, and biocompatibility.
