 글로벌 항공사 필리핀항공이 창립 85주년을 맞아 글로벌 네트워크 확장과 고객 서비스 혁신을 통한 재도약을 선언했다. 필리핀항공은 마닐라를 주요 허브로 삼아 세부, 클락 등 필리핀 주요 도시뿐만 아니라 아시아 및 미주 지역까지 폭넓은 노선망을 운영 중이며, 한국에서는 인천과 부산발 마닐라 직항편을 운항하고 있다.

마닐라 출발편은 보라카이, 보홀, 다바오 등 다양한 국내 목적지로 연결되어 여행객들에게 편리한 이동을 제공한다. 지난해에는 한국지사장 이지현을 임명하고 한국 시장을 핵심 국제 노선으로 강화하기 위해 GSA인 락소홀딩스와 협력하며 다양한 마케팅 활동을 전개하고 있다.

Philippine Airlines, celebrating its 85th anniversary, has announced a new phase of growth through expanding its global network and innovating customer service. Operating with Manila as its main hub, the airline extends its network beyond major Philippine cities like Cebu and Clark to cover Asia and the Americas. In Korea, direct flights to Manila operate from Incheon and Busan.

The Manila hub connects travelers conveniently to various domestic destinations including Boracay (Caticlan), Bohol, and Davao. Last year, Philippine Airlines appointed Lee Ji-hyun as the head of its Korea office and has been strengthening the Korean market as a core international route in partnership with its GSA, Laxo Holdings, executing diverse marketing initiatives.

Starting March 29, 2026, the airline will launch twice-weekly new routes from Manila to Saipan and Palau. Alongside, an 85th anniversary special fare promotion is underway on its official website. Laxo Holdings affirmed its commitment to elevating customer experience and aims to establish Philippine Airlines as a leading premium carrier representing Asia, grounded on 85 years of trust.
