디오, 디지털 장비 사업 본격 진출… AI임플란트 생태계 구축 박차 Dio launches full-scale digital equipment business, accelerating the development of an AI implant ecosystem.

 글로벌 임플란트 전문기업 디오(대표 김종원)는 영상 진단 의료장비 전문기업 레이와 3월 27일 글로벌 시장 확대를 위한 전략적 업무 협약(MOU)을 체결했다. 이번 협약을 통해 디오는 레이의 CT 등 치과용 디지털 진단 장비를 디지털 임플란트 시스템에 결합해 강력한 시너지를 창출할 계획이다.

양사는 디오의 글로벌 네트워크를 활용해 레이 장비를 판매하고, 레이는 기술 정보 제공과 교육 지원을 맡는다. 또한 주요 전략 지역의 시장 정보를 공유하고 지역 맞춤 영업 전략을 공동 수립하기로 했다. CT 기반 3차원 진단은 치조골 높이·폭, 골 밀도, 신경 위치 등을 정확히 파악하는 핵심 도구로, 임플란트 식립 위치와 각도가 치료 성패에 큰 영향을 미쳐 사전 정밀 진단의 중요성이 강조된다.

디오 김종원 대표는 “AI 플랫폼 사업에 디지털 장비는 필수 요소이며, 레이의 기술력은 이미 정평이 나 있어 디오 AI 로드맵의 중요한 동반자가 될 것”이라고 말했다. 디오가 추진 중인 AI 플랫폼 ‘DIO AX PLATFORM’은 진단, 수술 설계, 임플란트 식립부터 보철 디자인과 사후관리까지 AI 기반으로 신속·정밀하게 지원하는 차세대 플랫폼이다.

이번 협약은 양사의 기술력과 네트워크를 결합해 글로벌 임플란트 시장에서 혁신적 성장과 경쟁력 강화를 기대케 한다.

DIO, a global implant specialist company led by CEO Kim Jong-won, announced the signing of a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Ray, a company specializing in diagnostic imaging medical equipment including CT, on March 27 to expand their presence in the global market. Through this partnership, Daou plans to combine Ray’s dental digital diagnostic equipment such as CT scanners with their digital implant system to generate strong synergy.

The two companies will utilize DIO’s global network to market Ray’s dental digital diagnostic devices, while Ray will provide technical information and educational support. They will also share market insights from key strategic regions and jointly develop customized sales strategies by region. CT-based 3D diagnostics serve as an essential tool in implant treatment by accurately assessing critical factors such as alveolar bone height and width, bone density, nerve location, and maxillary sinus structures. The precise pre-planning of implant position and angle greatly influences treatment success, highlighting the importance of accurate diagnosis.

CEO Kim Jong-won of DIO stated, “Digital equipment is an indispensable element in our AI platform business, and Ray’s proven technological capabilities will serve as a vital partner in Daou’s AI roadmap.” Daou’s ongoing AI platform, the ‘DIO AX PLATFORM,’ is a next-generation system designed to support all stages of implant treatment—from patient diagnosis, guided surgery planning, fixture placement, prosthetic design, to post-care—swiftly and precisely based on AI technology.

This collaboration is expected to combine the technological expertise and networks of both companies, fostering innovative growth and strengthening competitiveness in the global implant market.
