 KG이니시스(www.inicis.com)는 글로벌 가상자산 플랫폼 크립토닷컴과 디지털 전환 및 결제 인프라 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다. 양사는 국내 법규 준수 하에 주요 가상자산과 국내외 스테이블코인을 결제 수단으로 활용하는 네트워크 인프라를 구축할 계획이다. 이를 통해 해외 이용자의 가상자산으로 국내 온라인 가맹점에서 상품 구매가 가능해지며, 기존 해외 카드 결제 시 발생하는 부정거래 및 차지백 리스크를 완화할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

KG이니시스는 축적된 결제 데이터와 글로벌 파트너십을 활용해 디지털 자산과 커머스 결제를 연결하는 새로운 결제 구조를 모색 중이며, 최근 블록체인 관련 사업 추가 등을 통해 법적·제도적 기반을 강화하고 있다.

이번 협약은 디지털 자산과 실물경제를 연결하는 결제·커머스 인프라 구축의 중요한 전환점으로, KG이니시스와 자회사 KG모빌리언스가 협력해 디지털 경제 생태계 활성화를 추진할 것으로 전망된다. 향후 다양한 글로벌 파트너와 협력하며 디지털 자산의 실제 경제적 활용성을 높여 나갈 계획이다.

KG Inicis (www.inicis.com) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the global virtual asset platform Crypto.com to promote digital transformation and establish payment infrastructure. Both companies plan to build a network infrastructure that enables the use of major virtual assets and domestic and international stablecoins as payment methods, complying with domestic regulations. This infrastructure will allow overseas users to purchase products from domestic online merchants using their virtual assets, expected to reduce fraudulent transactions and chargeback risks associated with existing overseas card payments.

KG Inicis is exploring new payment structures that connect digital assets and commerce payments by leveraging accumulated payment data and global partnerships. Recently, it has strengthened legal and institutional foundations by adding blockchain-related business items.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in building payment and commerce infrastructure that links digital assets with the real economy.
