진주시는 4월 10일부터 12일까지 3일간 ‘2026 진주 딸기 축제’를 진서중고교 및 수곡면 일원에서 개최한다고 밝혔다. 이번 축제는 전국 딸기 수출 1위이자 MBC ‘전국 1등 딸기 맛 대결’에서 1위를 차지한 진주딸기를 직접 수확하고 맛볼 수 있는 특별한 기회를 제공한다.
개막식은 4월 10일 오후 2시 30분에 진행되며, 축제 기간 동안 △싱싱한 딸기 따기 체험 △딸기 막 담아 가는 체험 △찰칵 포토존에서의 사진 촬영 등 다양한 프로그램이 운영된다. 가족 단위 방문객들이 함께 진주의 다채로운 문화를 즐길 수 있도록 다채로운 행사도 준비되어 있다.
진주시는 이번 축제를 통해 K-딸기를 대표하는 진주딸기의 우수성을 알리고, 방문객들이 봄날의 특별한 추억을 만들 수 있도록 풍성한 즐길 거리를 제공할 계획이다. 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다고 관계자는 전했다.
Jinju City announced that the ‘2026 Jinju Strawberry Festival’ will be held over three days from April 10 to 12 at Jinseo Middle and High School and the Sugok-myeon area. This festival offers a special opportunity to directly harvest and taste Jinju strawberries, which ranked first in nationwide strawberry exports and won first place in MBC’s ‘National No. 1 Strawberry Taste Contest.’
The opening ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. on April 10. Throughout the festival, visitors can experience fresh strawberry picking, “strawberry filling” activities, and photo sessions at the “Strawberry Snapshot” photo zone. A wide range of programs has been prepared to ensure families can enjoy Jinju’s rich cultural offerings together.
