메타디엑스, 한국헌혈견협회와 반려동물 헌혈 관리 체계 강화를 위한 MOU 체결! MetaDX and the Korea Blood Donor Association sign an MOU to strengthen the companion animal blood donation management system!

 메타디엑스(대표 김진욱)는 3월 12일 반려동물헌혈지원센터 사회적협동조합(한국헌혈견협회)과 반려동물 헌혈 관리 체계 강화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 반려견 헌혈 시 장기 건강 관리 기준을 체계화하고 헌혈 활성화 및 안정적인 혈액 수급 시스템 구축을 목표로 한다. 메타디엑스는 종양 위험도 조기 스크리닝 검사 ‘CancerVET’을 헌혈견 건강 점검에 적용하며 후원할 계획이다.

CancerVET은 혈액 내 종양 관련 휘발성 유기화합물을 AI 기반 GC-MS 기술로 분석해 최소 채혈로 신속하고 정확하게 반려견의 종양 보유 가능성을 예측하는 검사다. 이로써 동물병원과 보호자 모두 검사 편의성을 높일 수 있다.

한편 메타디엑스는 바이오인포매틱스 AI 기술 연구를 바탕으로 임상 데이터를 활용한 헌혈견 건강 관리 체계 구축을 추진한다.

MetaDx CEO Jinwook Kim announced on March 12 that the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Social Cooperative for Companion Animal Blood Donation Support Center (Korea Blood Donor Dogs Association) to strengthen the management system for companion animal blood donation.

The agreement aims to systematize long-term health management standards for blood-donating dogs, promote blood donation activities, and establish a stable blood supply system. MetaDx plans to sponsor and apply its early tumor risk screening test, CancerVET, to health check programs for donor dogs.

CancerVET analyzes volatile organic compounds related to tumors in blood using AI-based Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) technology. This minimally invasive test can quickly and accurately predict the possibility of tumor presence, enhancing convenience for veterinary clinics and pet owners alike.

Furthermore, MetaDx intends to build a comprehensive health management system for blood donor dogs based on clinical data and its bioinformatics AI research.
