한식진흥원, 2026년도 ‘해외 우수 한식당’ 지정 신청 접수 시작! 싱가포르·방콕·자카르타·홍콩 등 아시아 4개 주요 도시 대상! The Food Promotion Institute of Korea begins accepting applications for the 2026 ‘Outstanding Overseas Korean Restaurant’ designation! Targeting four major Asian cities including Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong!

 농림축산식품부(장관 송미령)와 한식진흥원(이사장 이규민)은 한식의 품질 향상과 소비자 보호를 목적으로 하는 ‘2026년도 해외 우수 한식당 지정 사업’ 신청 접수를 시작했다.

해당 사업은 한식진흥법에 따라 식당의 품질, 서비스, 위생관리 등을 종합 평가하여 우수 한식당을 지정하는 제도다. 2025년까지 뉴욕, 파리, 도쿄, 런던, 로스앤젤레스, 싱가포르 등 6개 주요 도시에서 총 23개소가 지정돼 운영 중이다.

2026년에는 아시아 내 K-푸드 수요가 높은 싱가포르, 방콕, 자카르타, 홍콩 4개 도시에 집중해 사업을 확대하며, 글로벌 식문화를 선도할 한식 브랜드 가치를 높이고 해외 한식당 경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다.

신청 자격은 지정 도시에서 3년 이상의 영업 경력을 갖춘 한식당으로, 메뉴 중 최소 60% 이상이 한식이어야 한다. 평가는 서류 심사와 현장 심사를 통해 진행된다.

최종 선정된 한식당에는 지정서와 공식 현판이 수여되며, 홍보 지원과 전문 역량 강화를 위한 교육 프로그램 등 다양한 혜택이 제공된다.

한식진흥원은 한식과 한식산업 경쟁력 강화로 국민 삶의 질 향상과 국가경제 발전을 도모하는 농림축산식품부 산하 공공기관으로, 한국 전통 식문화를 세계인에게 알리고 육성하는 역할을 수행하고 있다.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Song Mi-ryeong) and the Korean Food Promotion Institute (Chairman Lee Kyu-min) have opened applications for the “2026 Designation Project for Outstanding Korean Restaurants Overseas,” aimed at enhancing the quality of Korean cuisine and protecting consumers.

This project, based on the Korean Food Promotion Act, comprehensively evaluates restaurants’ quality, service, and hygiene management to designate outstanding Korean restaurants. As of 2025, a total of 23 restaurants have been designated and are operating in six major cities worldwide including New York, Paris, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Singapore.

In 2026, the project will focus on four Asian cities with high K-food demand—Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. The goal is to expand the brand value of Korean cuisine globally and strengthen the competitiveness of Korean restaurants overseas.

Eligible applicants must be Korean restaurants operating for at least three years in the designated cities, with Korean dishes comprising at least 60% of their main menu. The evaluation process includes document screening followed by on-site inspections.

Selected restaurants will receive official designation certificates and plaques, along with various support benefits such as promotional assistance and education programs aimed at enhancing professional capabilities.
