인터내셔널 슈퍼퀸 모델협회(회장 김대한)는 3월 28일부터 29일까지 호주 시드니에서 열린 ‘2026 Sydney Korean Festival’ 공식 초청 패션쇼를 성공적으로 마치고 귀국했다. 이 행사는 한국과 호주 수교 65주년을 기념하는 대규모 국제 문화 축제로, 호한문화예술재단이 주최하고 호주 정치·경제·문화계 주요 인사들과 교민, 현지 시민들이 대거 참여하여 성황을 이뤘다.
인터내셔널 슈퍼퀸 모델협회는 대한민국을 대표하는 공식 모델단으로 초청받아 한복과 현대 패션을 조화시킨 무대를 선보였으며, 현지 언론과 관객들에게 큰 주목을 받았다. 개막식에는 호주 NSW주 크리스 민스 총리 등 주요 인사들이 참석해 축사를 했고, 호한문화예술재단 고동식 이사장이 환영사를 전했다.
패션쇼는 시드니 달링하버 텀발롱 파크 메인 스테이지에서 2일간 총 3회에 걸쳐 진행되었으며, 전통과 현대가 어우러진 한복과 드레스 컬렉션 무대, 한국의 역사와 문화를 담은 이선영 한복 컬렉션, HERITIME 드레스쇼 등이 포함되었다. 이외에도 본다이비치 화보 촬영, 시드니 오페라하우스와 하버브리지 일대 스트리트 패션쇼, 자연 속 요가 퍼포먼스, 업사이클 의상 런웨이 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행되었다.
인터내셔널 슈퍼퀸 모델협회 박은숙 대표는 이번 행사가 한국 모델과 패션 콘텐츠의 글로벌 확장 가능성을 입증한 의미 있는 프로젝트이며, 앞으로도 다양한 국제 무대에서 한국 모델의 경쟁력과 위상을 알리겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

International Super Queen Model Association (President Kim Dae-han) successfully completed their official invitation fashion show at the ‘2026 Sydney Korean Festival’ held in Sydney, Australia, from March 28 to 29, and returned home. This event was a large-scale international cultural festival commemorating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Australia, hosted by the Korea-Australia Cultural Arts Foundation. It attracted a wide participation from key figures in Australia's political, economic, and cultural sectors, as well as Korean expatriates and local citizens, achieving great success.
The International Super Queen Model Association was invited as the official Korean model group, presenting a stage that harmonized traditional hanbok and modern fashion, gaining significant attention from local media and audiences. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Chris Minns, Premier of New South Wales, federal legislators, and Consul General Choi Yong-joon in Sydney. The Korea-Australia Cultural Arts Foundation’s Chairman Go Dong-sik delivered a welcoming speech, adding significance to the event.
The fashion shows took place over two days at the main stage of Tumbalong Park in Sydney Darling Harbour, with three sessions in total. The runway featured collections blending traditional hanbok and dresses, including the Isunyoung hanbok collection symbolizing Korean history and identity through motifs such as the rose of Sharon, the Taegeuk symbol, Hangul characters, and Dokdo patterns, and the HERITIME dress show. Additionally, diverse programs such as photoshoots at Bondi Beach, street fashion shows around the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, yoga performances in nature, and runway shows using upcycled clothing were held.
Park Eun-sook, CEO of the International Super Queen Model Association, stated that the event was a meaningful project proving the global expansion potential of Korean models and fashion content and expressed commitment to promoting the competitiveness and status of Korean models on various international stages.
