대구 팔공산 벚꽃 개화기 및 행락철 맞아 4월 초순 주말 시내버스 증회 운행과 맞춤 노선 운영한다! To coincide with the cherry blossom season and holiday travel season at Daegu's Palgongsan Mountain, city buses will increase frequency and operate customized routes on weekends in early April!

 팔공산 벚꽃은 대구를 대표하는 봄철 명소임에도 불구하고 매년 벚꽃 시즌마다 수많은 상춘객이 몰리면서 팔공산 순환도로와 동화사 방면 도로에서 극심한 교통 혼잡과 주차난이 발생한다. 좁은 도로 여건으로 인해 병목 현상이 심화되어 시민과 방문객 모두의 불편을 초래하고 있다.

이에 대구광역시는 팔공산 벚꽃 시즌 및 행락철을 맞아 시민들의 교통 편의를 위해 4월 초순 주말 시내버스 증회 운행과 맞춤 노선 운영 등의 특별 교통대책을 추진한다.

벚꽃 절정기인 4월 4일(토)~5일(일)과 4월 11일(토)~12일(일)에는 동화사 방면 주요 노선인 ‘급행1번’ 버스를 기존 20대에서 22대로 2대 증차한다. 증차된 차량은 ‘동대구역~동화사’ 구간을 집중 왕복 운행하며, 일 운행 횟수는 기존 81회에서 95회로 17.3% 증가하고, 배차 간격은 13분에서 10~11분으로 최대 23.1% 단축되어 차내 혼잡 완화가 기대된다.

팔공산 내에는 동화사 방면 2개(급행1번, 팔공1번), 갓바위 방면 1개(401번), 파계사 방면 2개(101번, 101-1번) 등 5개 정기 노선과 맞춤 노선 2개(팔공2번, 팔공3번)가 총 7개 시내버스 노선으로 운영 중이다. 특히 맞춤 노선인 팔공2번과 팔공3번은 3월부터 11월까지 토·일요일 및 공휴일에 각각 2대, 4대씩 운행되며 방문객의 이동 편의성을 높이고 있다.

Daegu Metropolitan City is implementing special transportation measures to enhance citizens’ convenience during the Palgongsan cherry blossom season and spring outing period by increasing city bus services on weekends in early April and operating tailored routes.

On the peak blossom weekends of April 4th–5th and April 11th–12th, two additional buses will be added to the main ‘Express Bus 1’ route heading toward Donghwasa Temple, increasing the fleet from 20 to 22 buses. These extra buses will focus on shuttling between Dongdaegu Station and Donghwasa, raising the daily number of trips from 81 to 95 (a 17.3% increase), and reducing the interval between buses from 13 minutes to 10–11 minutes, thus easing onboard congestion.

Within the Palgongsan area, seven city bus routes are in operation, including five regular routes: two toward Donghwasa (Express Bus 1, Palgong 1), one toward Gatbawi (Route 401), and two toward Pagyesa Temple (Routes 101 and 101-1), as well as two tailored routes—Palgong 2 and Palgong 3. Notably, the tailored routes Palgong 2 (serving Gatbawi) and Palgong 3 (serving Pagyesa, Donghwasa, and Gatbawi) operate with 2 and 4 buses respectively from March through November on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, greatly improving visitor mobility.
