MovieBloc, the global independent film platform, proudly announces its first curated program of 2026: the MovieBloc Global Film Festival Collection, running from February 12 to February 28. This exclusive showcase brings the essence of the world’s most prestigious early-year film festivals—including Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand, and the Berlin International Film Festival—directly to cinephiles worldwide.
The collection features a carefully selected lineup of acclaimed films such as Hippopotami (2025 Sundance Official Selection), Children’s Day (2025 Berlinale Official Selection), and Little Berlin, winner of the Fernand Raynaud Award for Best Comedy at the 2022 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, narrated by two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz. It also highlights notable works from South Korea’s film circuit, including Sojourn to Shangri-la and Daughter and Son, alongside diverse entries from China, Poland, Portugal, and Chile.
Dennis Kim, lead curator of the event, remarked, “While only a select few can attend these major festivals in person, our goal is to bring the culture, context, and cinematic experience of these festivals to audiences everywhere through this curated online program.”
Looking ahead, MovieBloc plans to institutionalize these seasonal showcases, expanding to include festivals such as Cannes and Venice, further bridging the gap between global film festivals and audiences.
Viewers can access the full MovieBloc Global Film Festival Collection on the MovieBloc official website and mobile app.
