Business data platform company Coocon (CEO Jonghyun Kim, KOSDAQ 294570) announced on March 31 that it is contributing to digital transformation in the financial sector by supporting Woori Card’s paperless issuance service for cargo welfare cards. 

Woori Card, by adopting Coocon’s APIs, replaced the traditional paper submission process, enabling card issuance applications through vehicle number and owner information input only. Automated data linkage has significantly improved the review processing speed and operational efficiency, with the entire process available non-face-to-face via app and web. 

This service is the first in the domestic card industry to implement a non-face-to-face automatic issuance system without physical documents, marking a meaningful advancement in digitalizing financial services. 

Coocon offers various data services based on more than 300 APIs connecting 2,500 institutions across 40 countries and has collaborated on account transaction inquiries, corporate registry verifications, business closure status checks, and ID authentication. The paperless issuance of the cargo welfare card is also noted as a remarkable example of API cooperation responding to digital transformation demands.
