삼성바이오에피스(주)와 에피스넥스랩(주), G2GBIO와 연구 협력 및 라이선스 계약 체결! Samsung Bioepis, Epis NexLab, and G2GBIO Sign Research Cooperation and Licensing Agreements!

 삼성바이오에피스(주)와 에피스넥스랩(주)는 G2GBIO와 연구 협력 및 라이선스 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다. 

이번 계약으로 삼성바이오에피스는 G2GBIO의 독자적인 마이크로스피어 기술을 기반으로 한 신규 장기간 지속형 세마글루타이드 자산에 대한 완전한 라이선스 권리를 확보했으며, 추가 자산에 대한 라이선스 옵션과 세 가지 신규 자산의 우선 협상권도 갖게 됐다. 

에피스넥스랩은 해당 기술을 활용해 장기간 지속형 마이크로스피어 약물 전달 플랫폼을 공동 개발한다. 

삼성바이오에피스는 이번 협력이 약물 전달 역량 강화와 파이프라인 확장에 중요한 진전이라고 평가했으며, 재무 조건은 비공개다. 

김경아 대표이사는 “혁신적 치료제 개발과 환자에게 의미 있는 치료 옵션 제공에 중요한 역할을 할 것”이라며 기대감을 나타냈다.

Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary Epis NexLab Co., Ltd. announced that they have entered into a research collaboration and license agreement with G2GBIO.

Under this agreement, Samsung Bioepis has secured full license rights to a novel long-acting semaglutide asset based on G2GBIO’s proprietary microsphere technology, as well as license options for additional assets and first negotiation rights for three other new assets.

Epis NexLab will co-develop a long-acting microsphere drug delivery platform utilizing this technology.

Samsung Bioepis regards this collaboration as a significant advancement in enhancing drug delivery capabilities and expanding its pipeline. Financial terms remain confidential.

Kyung-Ah Kim, CEO of Samsung Bioepis, expressed high expectations, stating that the agreement will play a crucial role in developing innovative therapies and providing meaningful treatment options to patients.
