뉴욕 하우스 레전드 서울 온다… 하우스 댄스 배틀 ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2’, 4월 12일 서울 합정서 개최! New York House Legends Come to Seoul… House Dance Battle ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2’ to be Held in Hapjeong, Seoul on April 12!

 국내 스트리트 댄스 문화 확산을 위한 하우스 댄스 배틀 ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2’가 오는 4월 12일 서울 합정역 인근 서울생활문화센터 서교에서 열린다.

이번 행사는 1대1 하우스 댄스 배틀 형식으로 진행되며 국내외 댄서들이 참여해 하우스 댄스 특유의 리듬과 에너지를 담은 퍼포먼스를 선보일 예정이다.

심사위원으로는 뉴욕 하우스 댄스 신의 대표적 인물인 케일리프 셀러스(Caleaf Sellers·미국)와 한국 1세대 하우스 댄서이자 싱어송라이터로 활동 중인 문수현(MOON HOUSE)이 참여한다.

행사의 음악은 DJ Sup(주양섭)이 맡아 배틀의 흐름을 이끌고, 진행은 MC Funny on(정희온)이 담당해 현장 분위기를 더욱 고조시킬 예정이다.

또한 MOON HOUSE CREW(송예빈, 최아영, 홍정원)가 게스트 쇼케이스 무대를 선보인다. 이번 공연에서는 MOON HOUSE의 싱글 앨범 ‘LUV2 : AS IS LOVE’ 수록곡 ‘사랑, 기다림’을 통해 하우스 음악과 댄스가 결합된 특별한 퍼포먼스를 선보일 계획이다.

행사는 SPACE JAM이 주관하고 MOON HOUSE COMPANY와 달토끼가 후원한다. SPACE JAM 송예빈 대표는 “하우스 댄스와 음악 문화를 사랑하는 누구나 함께 즐길 수 있는 자리가 되길 바란다”며 “이번 행사가 국내 하우스 커뮤니티에 활력을 더하고 글로벌 네트워크 확장의 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

한편 ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2’는 댄스 배틀을 넘어 음악과 퍼포먼스가 결합된 복합 문화 행사로 진행될 예정이다.

The domestic street dance culture expansion event, the house dance battle ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2,’ will be held on April 12 at the Seoul Life Culture Center Seogyo near Hapjeong Station in Seoul.

This event will be conducted in a 1-on-1 house dance battle format, featuring domestic and international dancers who will showcase performances filled with the unique rhythm and energy of house dance.

The judges include Caleaf Sellers (USA), a prominent figure in New York’s house dance scene, and Moon Su-hyun (MOON HOUSE), a first-generation Korean house dancer and active singer-songwriter.

DJ Sup (Joo Yang-seop) will provide the music that drives the battle’s flow, and MC Funny on (Jung Hee-on) will host the event, heightening the live atmosphere.

Additionally, MOON HOUSE CREW (Song Ye-bin, Choi Ah-young, Hong Jung-won) will perform a guest showcase. In this performance, MOON HOUSE will feature a special act combining house music and dance through the single track “Love, Waiting” from their album ‘LUV2: AS IS LOVE.’

The event is organized by SPACE JAM and supported by MOON HOUSE COMPANY and Daltokki. SPACE JAM representative Song Ye-bin said, “We hope this will be a place where everyone who loves house dance and music culture can enjoy together,” adding that “this event is expected to reinvigorate the domestic house community and expand global networks.”

Meanwhile, ‘LUV 2 HOUSE VOL.2’ will proceed as a complex cultural event that goes beyond a dance battle by combining music and performance.
