우리은행(은행장 정진완)은 지난 5일 놀유니버스, 코나아이와 외국인 고객 전용 선불카드 기반 금융서비스 제공을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 제휴는 국내를 방문하는 외국인 관광객의 결제 편의성과 금융 접근성 제고를 목표로 하며, 3사는 오는 4월 서비스 출시를 위해 시스템 연동과 인프라 구축을 추진 중이다.
해당 선불카드는 놀유니버스가 운영하는 여행·티켓·체험 플랫폼 ‘NOL World’를 통해 K-공연 티켓 및 관광 패키지와 연계한 상품과 카드 단독 구매가 가능한 일반형 상품으로 제공된다. 코나아이의 교통카드 기능이 탑재되어 온·오프라인 가맹점에서도 편리하게 사용할 수 있으며, 주요 가맹점에서는 특별 혜택도 제공할 예정이다.
우리은행은 외국인 관광객이 입국 즉시 인천공항 환전소에서 선불카드를 교부받고, 업계 최고 수준의 환율 우대를 제공한다. 또한 무인환전기와 ATM을 통한 환전 및 충전 서비스도 지원해 이용 편의를 극대화했다. 한편, 세 사는 앞으로 추가 금융 기능을 확장해 외국인 특화 금융서비스 경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다.
Woori Bank (CEO Jeong Jin-wan) announced on March 5th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nol Universe and Kona I to provide prepaid card-based financial services exclusively for foreign customers. The partnership aims to enhance payment convenience and financial accessibility for foreign tourists visiting Korea. The three companies are currently working on system integration and infrastructure development with a goal to launch the service in April.
The prepaid card service will be offered through Nol Universe’s travel, ticketing, and experience platform, “NOL World,” featuring products bundled with popular K-performance tickets and travel packages, as well as general prepaid cards available for separate purchase. Equipped with Kona I’s transportation card functions, the card will enable convenient payment at both online and offline merchant stores, with special benefits available at key locations frequently used by foreign tourists.
Woori Bank plans to distribute prepaid cards at the Incheon Airport currency exchange upon arrival, offering industry-leading foreign exchange rate discounts. Additionally, unmanned currency exchange machines and ATMs will support currency exchange and card recharge services to maximize convenience for users.
The three partners intend to continuously expand financial functions and enhance competitiveness in foreigner-focused financial services.
