글로벌 독립영화 플랫폼 무비블록(MovieBloc)이 3월 9일부터 15일까지 ‘칸 라 시네프 수상작 특별전(Cannes La Cinef Awards Showcase on MovieBloc)’을 개최한다. 이번 특별전은 칸국제영화제 공식 섹션 ‘라 시네프(La Cinef)’에서 선정된 신예 감독들의 수상작 6편을 엄선해 소개한다.
상영작에는 2024년 1등상 ‘아침을 찾아서(Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know...)’, 2025년 2등상 ‘열두 번의 숨을 고르며(12 Moments Before the Flag-Raising Ceremony)’, 2023년 2등상 ‘홀(Hole)’ 등 독창적인 세계관과 사회적 메시지를 담은 작품들이 포함된다. 이외에도 ‘3월의 겨울(Winter in March)’, ‘창 넘고 벽 넘어(Out the Window Through the Wall)’, ‘남은 건 혼돈(The Chaos She Left Behind)’ 등 다양한 장르의 단편들이 관객을 기다린다.
무비블록은 칸이 주목한 완성도 높은 단편 영화를 ‘디지털 시네마 파크’를 통해 전 세계에 독점 공개하며, 신예 감독들의 첫 발자취를 대중과 연결하는 가교 역할을 한다. 권윤화 무비블록 매니저는 이 행사를 통해 글로벌 관객이 동시대 신진 감독들의 세계를 경험하고 기대받는 거장들의 시작을 함께 응원하길 바란다고 밝혔다.
