대한비나(TAIHAN CABLE VINA), 베트남 동나이성(Đồng Nai)에 400kV급 초고압(EHV) 케이블 신공장 착공! TAIHAN CABLE VINA breaks ground on a new 400kV extra-high voltage (EHV) cable plant in Dong Nai, Vietnam!

 대한전선(대표 송종민)은 베트남 생산법인 대한비나(TAIHAN CABLE VINA)가 동나이성 롱탄산업단지에 400kV급 초고압 케이블 신공장을 착공했다고 3월 12일 밝혔다. 신공장은 약 5만6200㎡ 부지에 조성되며, 2027년 가동을 목표로 한다. 이번 공장은 대한전선이 확보하는 해외 첫 초고압 케이블 생산기지로 글로벌 전력망 투자 확대에 대응하고 해외 생산기반을 강화하기 위한 전략적 투자다.

대한비나는 이번 신공장으로 초고압 케이블 생산 역량을 확대해 동남아시아를 비롯해 유럽, 미주, 오세아니아 등 글로벌 시장의 수요에 적극 대응할 계획이다. 신공장 완공 시 대한비나는 베트남 내 유일한 400kV급 초고압 케이블 생산 기업으로 자리매김하게 된다.

3월 11일 열린 착공식에는 호반그룹 김대헌 기획 총괄 사장, 대한전선 김준석 경영 총괄 부사장, 정정태 호치민 총영사, 최규철 코트라 관장 등 주요 관계자와 임직원 약 150명이 참석해 성공적인 공사와 안전을 기원했다. 행사에서는 베트남 전통 사자춤과 북 공연, 기념 영상 상영, 시삽 퍼포먼스가 진행됐다.

베트남은 빠른 산업화에 따른 전력 수요 증가로 2030년까지 연평균 10~12% 성장할 전망이며, 특히 220kV 이상 초고압 케이블 송전망 구축을 위한 대규모 사업이 예정되어 있어 이번 신공장은 핵심 인프라 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

대한비나는 2005년 설립 이후 고압 및 중저압 전력케이블과 가공선을 생산하며 현지 대표 케이블 제조 기업으로 성장했다. 대한전선은 대한비나를 당진 공장에 이은 제2의 글로벌 생산기지로 육성하여 글로벌 케이블 시장 확대에 적극 대응할 방침이다.

Taihan Electric Wire Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Jong-min) announced on March 12 the groundbreaking of a new 400 kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable factory by its Vietnamese production subsidiary, Taihan Cable Vina, located in the Long Thanh Industrial Complex, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. The new factory, covering approximately 56,200 square meters, is scheduled to begin operations in 2027. This facility marks Taihan Electric Wire’s first overseas EHV cable production base, reflecting a strategic investment to respond to the expansion of global power grid investments and strengthen its overseas production capabilities.

With this new factory, Taihan Cable Vina plans to expand its production capacity of EHV cables and actively meet the demand not only in Southeast Asia but also across global markets including Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. Upon completion, Taihan Cable Vina will become the sole manufacturer of 400 kV EHV cables within Vietnam.

The groundbreaking ceremony held on March 11 gathered approximately 150 participants, including key figures such as Kim Dae-heon, Chief Planning Officer of Hoban Group; Kim Joon-seok, Chief Management Officer of Taihan Electric Wire; Jung Jung-tae, Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City; and Choi Gyu-cheol, Director of KOTRA. The event featured traditional Vietnamese lion dance and drum performances, a commemorative video screening, and a groundbreaking ceremony performance, where attendees wished for the safe and successful construction of the project.

Vietnam is experiencing rapid industrialization, with power demand expected to grow annually by 10 to 12 percent through 2030. Large-scale projects to build transmission networks using EHV cables rated above 220 kV are also planned. Therefore, this new factory is anticipated to serve as a core infrastructure facility addressing the growing market demand.

Since its establishment in 2005, Taihan Cable Vina has been a leading cable manufacturer in Vietnam, producing high-voltage (HV) and medium-/low-voltage (MV/LV) power cables as well as overhead wires. Taihan Electric Wire aims to foster Taihan Cable Vina as its second global production base alongside its Dangjin plant to actively capture the expanding demand in the global cable market.
