대구광역시 주최, 산업통상부 후원으로 ‘2026 대구국제안경전(DIOPS)’이 4월 1일(수)부터 3일(금)까지 엑스코에서 열린다. 올해는 국내외 135개 사가 참여하며, 366개 부스 규모로 진행된다. 해외 11개사를 포함해 약 250여 명의 해외 바이어가 전시장 방문을 예상해 K-아이웨어 대표 비즈니스 전시회의 위상을 높일 전망이다.
개막식은 4월 1일 오후 2시 엑스코 서관 라운지에서 개최되며, 올해 행사는 1946년 국내 최초 근대식 안경공장 ‘국제셀룰로이드공업사’ 설립 80주년을 기념하는 뜻깊은 자리로, 한국 안경 제조 역사를 조명한다. 특히 개막 당일 오후 4시 30분에는 유튜브 ‘삼프로 TV’ 정영진 진행자가 부스를 방문해 관람객과 소통하는 특별 이벤트가 예정돼 있다.
전시장은 아이웨어 브랜드, 스마트 광학장비, 부자재 유통, 친환경 소재기술 등 다양한 존으로 구성된다. 조선시대 안경부터 80년대 대구 안경산업 역사를 볼 수 있는 ‘역사관’과 애플 비전프로 등 최신 스마트글래스를 체험하는 ‘미래관’이 방문객을 맞는다.
주요 참가기업으로는 나사 없는 안경 ‘정스옵티컬’, AI 맞춤 안경 추천 ‘라운즈’, 항공기 소재 활용 ‘제이씨에스인터내셔널’, 쇼룸 운영 ‘어반아이웨어’, 스테인리스 메탈 전문 ‘슬릭스틸’ 등이 혁신 기술을 선보인다.
이번 DIOPS 2026은 스마트글라스 중심으로 변화하는 안경 산업 패러다임에 대응하고, 글로벌 바이어 유치 및 수출 성과 창출의 중요한 무대로 기대를 모으고 있다. 행사 이후 실질적 성과와 운영 과제에 대한 평가가 주목된다.
The 2026 Daegu International Optical Fair (DIOPS), hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, will be held at EXCO from Wednesday, April 1 to Friday, April 3. This year, the event will feature 135 domestic and international companies showcasing in 366 booths, with about 250 overseas buyers—including 11 from abroad—expected to visit the exhibition, further enhancing the stature of Korea’s representative K-eyewear business fair.
The opening ceremony will take place at 2:00 PM on April 1 at the EXCO West Hall Lounge. This year’s event marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Korea’s first modern eyewear factory, the ‘International Celluloid Industrial Company,’ founded in 1946, highlighting the history of Korean eyewear manufacturing. On the opening day at 4:30 PM, special events will include a visit from Jung Young-jin, host of the YouTube channel ‘Samhpro TV,’ who will engage with visitors at the booths.
The exhibition is organized into various zones, including eyewear brands, smart optical devices, material distribution, and eco-friendly material technology. Visitors can explore the ‘History Hall,’ which displays glasses from the Joseon Dynasty to the 1980s Daegu eyewear industry, as well as the ‘Future Hall,’ where the latest smart glasses such as Apple Vision Pro can be experienced.
Key participating companies showcasing innovative technologies include ‘Jung’s Optical,’ known for screwless eyeglasses; ‘Rounds,’ offering AI-based personalized eyewear recommendations; ‘JCS International,’ utilizing aircraft materials; ‘Urban Eyewear,’ running showrooms; and ‘Slick Steel,’ specializing in stainless metal.
DIOPS 2026 is expected to play a vital role in responding to the paradigm shift in the eyewear industry centered on smart glasses, serving as an important platform for attracting global buyers and generating export achievements. Following the event, focus will be on evaluating concrete outcomes and operational challenges.
