울릉군 대표 여름 축제인 ‘제24회 울릉도 오징어축제’가 기존 8월 개최에서 7월로 일정을 앞당긴다! The 24th Ulleungdo Squid Festival, Ulleung-gun’s representative summer festival, is moving its schedule forward from the original August to July!

 울릉군 대표 여름 축제인 ‘제24회 울릉도 오징어축제’가 오는 7월 17일부터 19일까지 3일간 울릉도 저동항 일원에서 개최됩니다.

울릉군 축제위원회는 2월 25일 개최 기간과 장소 선정을 위한 회의를 열고 본격적인 축제 준비에 돌입했습니다. 올해는 기존 8월 개최에서 7월로 일정을 앞당겨 여름 성수기 이전 비수기 관광 수요를 선제적으로 확보하고 관광 인프라 운영의 효율성을 높여 관광객 편의성을 제고할 계획입니다. 또한 지역 특산물의 신선함과 축제 현장감을 강화하기 위해 개최 시기도 신중히 선정했습니다.

울릉군 관계자도 “다양한 프로그램과 공연, 체험 행사 등 풍성한 축제 콘텐츠로 방문객들에게 특별한 추억을 선사할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했습니다.

The 24th Ulleungdo Squid Festival, Ulleung County’s premier summer event, will take place over three days from July 17 to July 19, 2026, in the Jeodong Port area of Ulleungdo.

The Ulleung County Festival Committee held a meeting on February 25 to finalize the festival period and venue and has since launched full-scale preparations. This year, the schedule has been moved forward from August to July to proactively secure tourist demand in the low season preceding the peak summer vacation period and to improve the efficiency of tourism infrastructure operations, enhancing visitor convenience. The timing was thoughtfully chosen to maximize the freshness of local specialty products and the vibrant atmosphere of the festival.

An Ulleung County official stated, “We are committed to providing visitors with memorable experiences through a variety of programs, performances, and interactive activities. We will do our utmost to ensure a rich and enjoyable festival.”
